Privacy Policy

Stock Lite does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. Everything you do in the app stays on your device.

Information we collect

None. Stock Lite has no user accounts and no server of its own. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, device identifiers, or usage analytics. We have no way to identify you and no record that you have ever used the app.

Information stored on your device

The app saves one thing locally: the list of ticker symbols you add to your watchlist. It is stored in your device's own app storage, never leaves your phone, and is deleted when you uninstall the app.

Third-party services the app contacts

To show market data, Stock Lite makes direct requests from your device to two public sources:

These requests contain the ticker symbol you are viewing. As with any internet request, the receiving service can see your device's IP address and standard connection information. We do not control what those services do with it, and their handling is governed by their own privacy policies:

Stock Lite sends nothing to Landerlab. We never see these requests.

Sentiment analysis happens on your device

Headline sentiment is scored on your phone using a rule-based model built into the app. No headline, no ticker, and no result is ever sent anywhere for processing.

Permissions

The app requests one Android permission: internet access, used solely to fetch market data and headlines. It does not request access to your location, camera, microphone, contacts, files, or storage.

Children

Stock Lite is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from anyone. Because the app collects no personal information at all, there is nothing to delete.

Your rights

Privacy laws including the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights to access, correct, and delete personal data held about you. We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing to access, correct, or delete. Uninstalling the app removes the watchlist stored on your device.

Data sharing and sale

We do not share, sell, rent, or trade personal information, because we do not have any.

Security

All network requests use HTTPS. Since no personal information is collected or transmitted to us, there is no user data on our side that could be exposed in a breach.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date at the top. Material changes affecting how data is handled will also be noted in the app's release notes.
